Woman, 23, charged with Penygroes murder of Emma Jones, 31


Emma Louise Jones Police have named the victim as Emma Louise Jones
A 23-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of Emma Jones in the village of Penygroes in Gwynedd in the early hours of Saturday.
Police said Alwen Eluned Jones, from the nearby village of Llanllyfni, will appear before Caernarfon magistrates on Monday.
Earlier, detectives confirmed 31-year-old Emma Jones died as a result of a stab wound.
A man and woman who were also arrested have been released without charge.
An appeal for witnesses has been issued.
Ms Jones was pronounced dead in hospital following the stabbing, On Sunday, forensic experts have remained at flats in Trem y Wyddfa.
The coroner has been informed and a family liaison officer is supporting Ms Jones' family.
The death came as Penygroes was about to celebrate its Christmas fayre, with preparations for the community event filmed for the S4C programme, Mel a Nia.
Tributes to Ms Jones have been posted on a special page on the social networking site Facebook.
